What to Expect at Your First Midwife Visit

You will have a one-hour visit (in clinic or by phone) where you will meet one of the midwives on your assigned team. During this time, the midwife will discuss with you what to expect from midwifery care in general, as well as how this may apply to your specific needs. This intake visit will review any ultrasounds or bloodwork that have been done or need to be done, review your health history, obstetrical history, arrange for genetic testing, and give you information on how to contact us.
