Meet Lindsay!

Lindsay Ottens (she/her), Registered Midwife

I grew up in rural Lambton County. I decided as a teenager that Midwifery was my calling. At that point I had only witnessed births of kitten, puppies, chickens, calves, and alpacas. The process of pregnancy and birth amazed me. I reached out to friends and family members and a Midwife I knew to learn more about Midwifery. Hearing their firsthand experiences solidified my dream of becoming a midwife.

I attended the Midwifery Education Program at Laurentian University. I completed placements in Sarnia, Chatham, London and Perth County. After graduation I accepted a position with Niagara Midwives. In 2012 I came back home to join Midwifery Services of Lambton-Kent. I feel so lucky to be able to serve the community I grew up in.

I now live on our family farm raising my own busy family with my partner, Ken. When I'm not busy being a midwife and a mom, you can find me gardening or crafting.
